Santa Maria delle Scale

The Church of Santa Maria delle Scale, located in Ragusa, symbolically connects the upper and lower parts of the city. It is one of the few buildings to survive the 1693 Val di Noto earthquake. It has a sober structure on the outside, while the interior houses works of art of great value. The church is an important historical, artistic and spiritual landmark of the city.
